He says, toll to be increased, he says, no..no..please review.. What a flip-flop! Aren’t both of them from the SAME cabinet? For a moment, I thought they are from opposite teams.. I really wonder how they come to a consensus, and please lah.. make a DECISION before any official announcment to the public. Come on lah, you guys are making a decision that will influence the economy of our country, not just a main-main masak. Suka-suka naik, suka-suka turun..

I was reading a book when suddenly Little J shouted excitedly..Mum..look..look.. I saw a lot of shiny, shiny, white hair.. I was like..huh? What’s the big fuss?

Yes, I have started to have white hair. All new growth are basically white! Eh.. I never associate white hair with ageing. Afterall, I have seen tons of kids, I mean those really under 16, having white hair! hahaa.. denial., denial.. anyway, having white hair is better than having no hair at all..

The truth is.. I am really a very, very vain person. I can “peep” into a mirror.. every 15 minutes just to check if there is any new breakout on my face, or any new strand of white hair and I will call on my beautician the moment I saw a new breakout..hahaa

Hey..I’ll be hitting the big 4 in less than 6 months time.. And thanks to USANA Sense skincare line, a product line which I have been loyal to for the last 2 years, I don’t look a bit my age. The lady boss of the beauty saloon which I go regularly for my facial was shocked to find out my age. She said I look like in my 20s. Haaa.. I hope she is not saying that just because I am a regular customer.

And hey.. did I ever mention in this blog that whenever I walked into a party, I’ll get admiring glances from both males and females? haaa… and my secrets? Eat healthily, smile always, sleep early, never forget to take my multi-vitamins and fish oil and of course, use a good brand of skincare and regular facial. All women should age gracefully.

Read this piece of news and it really disturbs me. I have 2 young boys and one will be entering secondary schools in a few years time. Recently a friend’s son who studies in a secondary school near our house, was almost beaten by about 10 school mates before the school authorities intervene. Not long ago, someone enters a Klang school compound and stabbed a few students.

What’s happening to our children? What’s happening to our society? Sigh…

Have you ever received any forwarded email from anyone? Be it from a good friend, or colleague, or just an aquaintance, or even someone whom you have just handed over your business card to or someone you don’t even know?

You see, I have been receiving forwarding emails from someone who is not in my contact list, whom I can’t ever recall ever made any contact with or know. Feeling irritated, I did a thorough checking on my email history and guess what I found. He was in the email list of one of my ex-colleague (let me call her W). You see, W is fond or rather I should say, obsessed with forwarding emails. Everyday, I would receive at least 5 emails from her and during her “peak” I would receive more than 20 emails from her in a day!! The problem is she would send to all the contacts and do not bcc at all. Anyone in her contact list could easily pick up all the email addresses and spam them, which explains why I have been receiving emails from someone I do not know!

Hey, if you want to forward some materials to your contact, I strongly suggest that you bcc all the email addresses! If the email is meant for a small group of close friends, for eg.. sharing or update some information about oneself, then it is ok to show the email addresses of the rest.

Some time back, I received an email from a major local bank. The staff called me in advance and was promoting some credit cards incentives. I told her to email details to me and guess what. I received a FOWARDED email from her, an email which she previously sent to another client. It was a directly fowarded email with the subject title Fw and the email addresses of the client with the date of the email sent to the client, her name etc and the part on Dear Client name was there! Exactly a forward email without any editing! How very unprofessional!

I am not against forwarded email but please do have some etiquette before you click forward and hit sent! No offence, but I usually don’t read those forwarded emails!

“Mum, do you know what FAMILY means?” Big J suddenly asked me before he went to bed last night.

Scratching my head, I answered him, “Family means a group of people which consist of parents and their children, it can include others like grandparents, uncles, aunties, cousin etc. Just like Ah Kong, Ah Ma, ku ku and per per, they are our Family.”

“Ayuh.. why are you so long-winded? FAMILY simply means Father And Mother I Love You.”

“Wow.. where did you learn that? School?” I asked.

“Nope, from TV.”

Reasonable dose of TV does more good than harm, I hope so..

Lately, I have been going out for supper with darling hubby. Hopefully I won’t put on too much “fat” haa.. Well, I am also planning to work out at the gym at the Golf clubhouse near my house. It’s one of my resolutions to go for work out, now that every morning, I am free for 4 hours before the kids come back from school. Guess I have to start hunting for a leng chai gym trainer, haa..

Ok, back to my story about supper. Last Sunday, hubby brought me to Asia Cafe at Subang Jaya SS15, opposite Inti College. It’s a huge food court and tons of choices of food at reasonable price, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Taiwanese.. many, many choices. As we walked around “hunting” for something nice, one stall caught my eyes. SARAWAK Kolo Mee.. woo..hooo… Needless to say, I walked over to the stall and ordered a plate of Kolo Mee. It is not 100% authentic, but I would definitely go back for more hometown craving “fix”.

Eh.. anyone knows where I can have a Sibu Kampua Mee “fix”??

9 year old Big J is a smart student. His school work has been always above average. The only “problem” with him is he usually (a lot of times) gives wrong information of any announcement by his teacher. There was once he brought a box of water color and paint brush to school when he was actually asked to bring the Chinese Caligraphy materials. There was another time where he told me a wrong date for school replacement. He is either very blur when it comes to “announcement” or he never pays attention when the announcement is being made.

Yesterday, he told me that he has to be in school at 4pm for a basketball game. It was a game to select school players. Hmm.. needless to say, I am skeptical, if there is any game at all. After all, he is only in Primary 3 and usually Primary 3 students need not take part in any games..

Me : Are you really sure? Basketball selection at 4pm today?

Big J : Yes mum. Teacher said we have to be there at 4pm, finishes at 5.30pm and you can pick me up at 6pm.

Me : Really.. (I was wondering, what if I drop him at 4pm, and there isn’t any game and he has to be in school doing nothing for 2 hours, so I made a suggestion to him).. Err.. I have an idea.. How about I go with you to the game, I’ll wait for you till the game finishes and we can go back together? Isn’t that a good idea?

Big J : Oh… mommmm… please lah.. It’s so embarassing.. Nobody brings their mom to their games!

Me : (Wail.. wail.. my baby has grown up!)

Finally, he managed to persuade me to just drop him off at the school gate and pick him up at 6pm.. When I arrived at the school at 5.45pm to pick him up, he was already at the guardhouse waiting for me and smiling happily. There is a basketball game after all…..

We had the greatest Valentine’s Day ever..And this year also marks our 10th year wedding anniversary and hubby is full of surprises..haha.. He gave me my very first Diamond ring on Valentine’s Day!! We are like 20 years old.. all over…haha.

Just a few days ago, I was having this conversation with two lady friends who are much younger than me. They were expressing how they envy me, noticing that hubby always hold my hand when we are together. They were complaining that their husbands have stopped holding their hands since the arrival of their children!

And this is what I told them, do not wait for your husband to hold your hand. You make the first move..and eventually, hubby will hold your hand naturally.. and that’s what I did!! Haa..

Happy Valentine’s Day to all… hubby and I are going out for a wild night tonight…wink….wink.. hey.. we may ends up in a 5-Star hotel.. he he he..
