I was teaching Little J names of all kinds of vegetables and fruits using Smartbees, an E-Learning program which I subscribed for the children. Then I would use Besta, the electronic dictionary to explain to him the meaning of the words. Besta uses Oxford Advance Learner’s Dictionary and look at how Oxford defines Durian, my favorite fruit.
“A large tropical fruit with a strong unpleasant smell but a sweet flavour”
Unpleasant smell? To the Oxford publisher perhaps but to me, it has a very pleasant smell.. so goes the saying, “Beauty lies in the eyes of its beholder”..

Big J studies in a Chinese primary school. He has 3 Malay classmates in his class and one of them is a Top student. I am very impressed with Farhana’s Mandarin although it is not her mother’s tongue and both her parents do not know Mandarin at all. She is an incredible child!
Today, when Big J came back from school, he showed me a card which Faiz, one of his classmates made for him. They will be going to different classes next year and Faiz made him a “farewell” card and wrote on the card, “May God Bless You”. How very thoughtful of him! Big J then told me that Faiz is his best friend..
Children are color blind.. truly a Bangsa Malaysia!

I just found a new tuition center for Big J after surveying many centers at my housing area. This morning was his second time attending the class. When he got back, he showed me the enrollment form which the tutor asked him to fill up and I was supposed to sign my name.
At the column where he needs to fill in Mother’s occupation, he put “Vitamin Seller”.. LOL..

That’s what the infamous SIL, KJ said in Al Jazeera, 101 East , airing the exclusive, The Anwar Comeback, a couple of hours ago. He was commenting that come 16/9, if Anwar cannot form a new government, he is finished. If he can confidently said that, he may have already know what the verdict will be on 10/9 when Anwar starts his trial on Sodomy 2.
Anwar on the other hand, commented that there will be a drastic change on 16/9. Being a Sarawakian, 16/9 is a significant date to me because it was this particular date in 1963 where Sarawak gained independence and joined Semenanjung and Sabah to form Malaysia. Much as I would like to see CHANGE, I would prefer to bring Change through the ballot papers and not back door. Let’s wait and see what happen on 16/9 which also co-incidentally falls on Ramadhan, a fasting month for our muslim friends.

Mr. PM.. how many by-elections do you need to prove that something is terribly wrong with your leadership? Wake up, Lah.. you are still in the state of denials. I can’t imagine what he said here.. Or perhaps he has some really, really good goodies to announce this Friday that he can confidently say what he said here. We shall see..

Malaysians did it! We had our voices heard ONCE again at Permatang Pauh. I can bet that even if PR had put any Ali, Ah Beng or Muthu as candidate, he/she would have won over BN’s dirty and ”mighty” machineries. What more Anwar, he is afterall THE person who can bring petrol price down before even stepping into Parliament!!
I am waiting for the Budget announcement this Friday, not for any goodies from the BN government, if any but to see if Pak Lah trembles face to face with the almighty Anwar! He is afterall a very charismatic leader which has won the heart of Malaysian regardless of races and can even “influence” Pak Lah and gang even before he comes into power.

Malaysia government just announced petrol price down from RM2.70 to RM2.55 per liter, just a couple of hours ago, having just increased by 78 sen (40% ) early June this year. Wonder if it has anything to do with this mother of all times by-election somewhere north, simply because of keeping ONE man away from Parliament? hmmm…. desperate move ke? Regardless, welcome all the same, 15 sen is better than nothing!

Fever is back.. No..not the Olympics games fever. Little J’s fever is back.. He had high fever on Tues & Wed, he was ok on Thurs and Fri and this morning, his fever comes back. It was 38.4
This morning, I blended fresh orange juice for him. I crushed a tablet of USANIMAL, USANA’s top ranking children multi-vitamin and mixed with his fresh orange juice. He loves the taste so much.. Fever has come down and hope it won’t come back..
